Student will create a flip book with specific information about one element. Students will research the atomic structure, special bonds with other elements, molecules with the elements, compounds or mixtures created with this element, explain the position of the element on the Periodic Table, history of the element, importance of the element, and future use of the element. The last page of the flip book student will incorporate this element to their detective story written for English. Students will develop math word problems related to chemistry and Sherlock Holmes throughout the quarter.
